3 Easter Gross Motor Games for Preschoolers

As we approach the Easter season, we have something egg-stra special to share with you on the blog today! We have put together three Easter gross motor games your preschoolers are sure to love. Gross motor activities are perfect to get the wiggles out, promote coordination, and probably make you break a sweat too! If you've got kiddos who are bouncing off the walls with springtime energy, keep reading for all the details!

Egg Balance Spoon Race

Grab some shaker eggs or Easter eggs with something inside to make them a little heavier. Give your child a spoon and have them balance the egg on their spoon. You can have them walk to a designated place in the room, or make an obstacle course they have to go through! This is excellent practice for gross and fine motor skills!

Egg Toss

You’ll need at least two children for this activity. Have the first child gently toss the egg to the other child. Then have them take one step backwards and toss the egg again. Keep going, taking a step back each time, and see how far you can toss the egg! This is a fun activity to work on gross motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Egg Target Practice

You’ll need some bowls and your eggs again. Place the bowls around the room. Have your child take the egg and toss it to try and get it into the bowl. You can even use different color bowls and have them match the egg colors to the bowls to make it extra challenging. This is another great way to work on gross motor skills and hand-eye coordination for preschoolers!
