We have the perfect counting activity to add to your bugs and insects preschool theme. Our Bumblebee Math game can be played two different ways to practice counting, one-to-one correspondence, and number recognition. Be sure to grab the free download at the bottom of this post!

You will need:

Bumblebee Math cards and sheet (grab the free download below!)
Bumblebee counters (we used these!)

Instructions:

Download and print the Bumblebee math cards and honeycomb sheet. You can laminate them for more durability if you’d like.
Game Option 1: Have your child pull a number card from the stack, and put that many bee counters on top. Keep going until you’ve done all of the numbers.
Game Option 2: Have your child pull a number card from the stack and place that many bees onto the honeycomb sheet. Keep going until the honeycomb is all filled up.
You can use tweezers to place the bees for more fine motor practice, or you can practice subtraction by placing the bees on the sheet and then taking that many away each time you draw a card. There are so many different ways to play!
