Christmas Lights Photo Frame
If you’re looking for a great gift to make with your preschoolers this holiday season, look no further! We found this original idea from Mary Catherine over at Fun-A-Day. Be sure to check out her post with all of the details of the original project; she’s included a free card download to add to your frame. You can find it here! We’ve also outlined below what you’ll need. We love to make these to give as parent gifts for the holidays. They make the sweetest keepsakes.
You will need:
Wooden craft frame (we got ours from Michael’s)
Acrylic paint
Permanent marker or paint pen
A photo of each child
Hot glue gun
Yarn or twine
Optional: clear acrylic sealer
Instructions:
Paint the wooden craft frame white.
Have your child add fingerprints of various colors to make the “lights.”
Add the black lines for the light strings with permanent markers or a paint pen.
Optional: Have your child write their name and add the year on front.
If you’d like, you can seal the paint with a clear acrylic spray.
Print a cute holiday photo of your child and attach it to the frame. We just used hot glue.
Add yarn or twine with hot glue to create a way to hang your photo. We love to put ours on our Christmas tree each year.
Thank you so much to Mary Catherine and Fun-A-Day for the idea for such a darling holiday keepsake. We hope you enjoy making these with your child this Christmas!
