Cup Towers
If you are stuck inside on a cold day, chances are your kids may or may not be driving you crazy (haha, but really). This activity requires no set-up, uses only ONE item that you'll already have in your pantry, and will keep your kids super entertained! They'll practice balancing, hand-eye coordination, problem solving and patience- all without them realizing!
You will need:
Plastic Cups
Instructions:
Break out the plastic cups.
Encourage your kids to find different ways to stack them.
Let them KNOCK DOWN THE TOWER (my boys got so into this part)!
Start again!
Activity Notes:
If you don't have plastic cups, styrofoam works too!
Turn this into a counting activity by writing numbers on the cups and have your child stack them in the correct order.
Turn this into a name practice activity by writing the letters in their name on the cups and have them put the letters in order!
If they start to get bored, check out our "DIY bowling" blog post for another idea to do with plastic cups!
