DIY Bowling

The weather is getting colder, which means our kids are going to be stuck inside more…which means the battle to get them to do something BESIDES watch TV is going to feel even longer. This is a quick set-up activity that will keep the kiddos occupied for a minute!

You will need:

  • Any kind of stackable cups

  • Any kind of ball

Instructions:

  1. Stack your cups in the normal triangle formation.

  2. Set your kids up a couple feet back with a ball.

  3. Let them roll their ball and knock the cups down!

  4. Have the kids re-stack the cups and repeat!

Activity notes:

  • If you have more than one kid, this is a perfect game to practice taking turns and practice sharing. I had my boys took turns with who rolled the ball and then help each other stack the cups in between turns and it worked well.

  • Let your kids get creative and stack their cups any way they want. If they are standing up, they can knock them down!

  • If your kids are getting bored with it, try switching up the rules…i.e. have them try to throw the ball over the cup tower, the ball has to bounce before it hits the cups, etc.
