Flower Sensory Bin Play

Sensory bins are truly so much fun. We love changing our for each theme we learn about in our preschool classrooms, and we can’t wait to try this adorable flower sensory bin for springtime! We even added an easy way to practice color sorting while enjoying sensory play, so we are sure your preschooler will love this activity! Keep scrolling for all the info!

You will need:

  • A large bin or container

  • Liquid watercolor (like this!)

  • Small bowls (we got ours from the dollar store)

  • Fake flowers, or real ones if you have them!

Instructions:

  1. Fill your large container with water.

  2. Add some of the liquid watercolor to color the water. We used blue!

  3. Add a variety of colorful flowers and some small bowls. We liked these cheap ones from the dollar store because they floated on top of the water.

  4. Have your child practice sorting each different color of flower into different bowls.

  5. Let the scoop, splash, and have fun!

  6. Note: Please make sure to always supervise children around water.
