Grandparent’s Day Craft (free download!)
I just recently learned that the first Sunday after Labor Day is always Grandparent’s Day! Even though we love and honor grandparents every day, celebrating Grandparent’s Day is a fun way to show a little extra appreciation for all they do. Today we have a darling (and easy!) craft you can make with your children to show grandma and grandpa a little extra love!
You will need:
Grandparent’s Garden Free Printout (download below!)
Paint
Paintbrushes
Instructions:
We have three different versions of the free download for you to choose from: Grandma’s Garden, Grandpa’s Garden, or Grandma and Grandpa’s Garden. Choose the one you like, download it (for free!) and print it off.
Using a paintbrush, paint your child’s hand. Then have them stamp their hand to create the flower. We’ve found that painting the child’s hand works better for handprint art than dipping the hand in paint.
If you have multiple children, each one can use their handprint to make one flower, or each child can make their own sheet and can stamp their hand multiple times. Or even just let them fingerpaint if they want! Either way works well!
Let it dry, and then you have a darling piece of personalized art for grandma and grandpa to hang on their fridge! Happy Grandparent’s Day!
