Indoor Sandbox
It's November, and we are starting to head into the dreaded months where the kids are stuck inside. Especially with all the COVID restrictions, this winter is going to be a brutal one. So, here's an idea to keep your kids busy for HOURS inside! I'm not going to lie, this one is a little bit messy, but in my opinion, it's totally worth it to keep them occupied for so long!
You will need:
Dried beans
Different size tubs and bowls
Shovels, measuring cups, funnels, scoops
Instructions:
Get your dried beans in a big containers.
Give your kids different bowls and utensils to transfer the beans around in.
Let them go to town!
Activity Notes:
To help with the mess, you could put a tarp or a table cloth underneath to try to keep the beans contained.
My boys thought it was super fun to get some toy cars and bury them. Add any kind of small toys to keep them busy longer!
If you don't have dried beans, dried wheat or oats would be a great alternative.
You can buy a pack of plastic funnels at Walmart for less than a dollar!
