Last Name Spelling Practice

Last names can be tricky! My poor kids have an 11 letter last name to try to memorize, so it's going to take us awhile haha. Here's a super easy activity to help your kids practice. It's really quick set up and I'm sure you already have all the materials you need!

You will need:

  • Paper Towel Roll

  • Paper Towel Holder

  • Marker or writing utensil

  • Scissors

Instructions:

  1. Write you last name vertically on a paper towel roll. Make sure to leave a little bit of space in between the letters!

  2. Cut in between the letters.

  3. Help your child stack the letter rings on the paper towel in the correct order.

  4. Have them continue to practice!

Activity Notes:

  • Try doing this with their first name, middle name, family member's names, or any other word you want them to learn!

  • You could even do this with your phone number to help them practice the order.

  • Try giving them a bunch of random letters and let them build whatever words they want!

Pin it for later!
