Leaf Wreaths

Growing up, my mom always kept all of our holiday art projects and hung them up as decorations. I remember being so proud that she wanted to put them up! I figured it was high time to start this tradition with my own littles. Are you ready for a fun Fall craft?! Let's put some of those crunchy leaves to good use!

What you'll need:

  • A paper plate (grab some from Amazon here!)

  • Scissors

  • Elmer’s glue (or hot glue would work too!)

  • Leaves

Instructions:

  1. Collect some leaves outside.

  2. Cut out the center of your paper plate to make a wreath shape.

  3. Help your child squeeze out the glue on your "wreath" and attach the leaves!

  4. If you're feeling fancy, use a hole punch and add some twine. You can even add a little sign in the middle with whatever you want to say.

  5. Let your child hang it up and be proud of their work!

Activity Notes:

  • If you don't have fall leaves where you live, cut some out of different colored construction paper!

  • Add acorns, pinecones, twigs...whatever your child can find!

  • Our leaves were a little extra crunchy and some had a hard time sticking with just glue. I added some tape on the back of those ones and it worked great.

Pin it for later!
