Paper Plate Animal Masks
Here at The Preschool Place, we are ALL about creative play. Anything that gets their imagination running! This activity starts as a little craft but then turns into a cute prop that your kids will play with for days. It's a total mom win!
You will need:
Paper Plates
Scissors
Colored Paper
Glue Stick
Tape
Sharpie or Pen
Popsicle Sticks
Instructions:
Cut the rim off of the plate and save it for later.
Cut out eye holes in the plate.
Have your child choose what animal they want to make and what color of paper they would like to use for it!
Use the rim of the paper plate to cut out ears and tape those on.
Have your child take their desired paper color and rip it up into little pieces. Work on those fine motor skills!
Using the glue stick, have your child attach the ripped paper to the paper plate.
Use the sharpie to draw on a mouth and add some fun details to your child's mask!
Lastly, use the tape to attach the popsicle stick so that they can hold it up!
Activity Notes:
If your child isn't into animals, try making something else! A superhero, a monster, a princess, etc.
If you don't popsicle sticks, try using a plastic straw or a chopstick!
These definitely don't have to look perfect. Your kids will just have fun doing it anyways!
