Space Roll, Count, and Cover Math Game and Free Download
This roll, count, and cover space game is a perfect math activity to do with your preschooler during your space unit. Children can work on number identification, counting, and addition with this simple game. We’ve included a free downloadable lesson plan and the two game boards for you below!
You will need:
Level 1 & Level 2 Planet Mats (free download below!)
Scissors
Moon Rocks (any rocks or gems or counters will work)
2 Dice
Instructions:
Level 1 Play
Place the Level 1 planet mat in front of your little space cadet.
Have them roll 1 die and count the dots.
Place a moon rock onto the matching number planet.
Repeat until you get all the numbers on the level 1 Planet Board.
Clear the board and if your little space cadet isn't ready to do addition yet, you can play this game again.
Level 2 Play
Place the Level 2 planet mat in front of your little space cadet.
Have them roll 2 dice. Count the dots on each dice, and then add
them together.
Place the moon rocks onto the matching number planets.
Repeat until all 12 planets are covered.
Clear the board, and play again.
