St. Patricks Day Skittle Math (free downloads!)
I absolutely love the holidays, and I think they are even more fun with young children! St. Patricks Day is such a good one, and we love doing all things RAINBOW during the month of March! Here are 3 adorable rainbow themed math activities with Skittles that will make math time so FUN!
#1: Skittle Rainbow Counting
For this activity you will need:
Rainbow Digital Download (FREE!) Grab it below
Dice
Skittles in a bowl
How to play:
Roll the dice and pull that many skittles out of the bowl.
Place the skittles in the correct color circle on the rainbow.
Repeat the activity until all of the spaces are filled or you run out of skittles!
Another optional activity would be to print two rainbows and have a race with your child to see who can fill their rainbow first!
#2: Skittle Color Sort
For this activity you will need:

Optional tweezers for extra fine motor practice
How to play:
Simply grab a handful of colors, and sort them into the correct circle! Make the activity more challenging by using tweezers to practice fine motor skills!
#3: Skittle Graphing
For this last math activity you will need:

How to Play:
Have your student take a handful of skittles and put them next to their paper.
Next, sort the skittles into the correct columns to make a graph.
Then count the number of skittles in each category.
Draw tally marks in the left hand column to represent each color of skittles on the graph.
