Straw Game
Get those fine motor skills going with this insanely easy activity! It's perfect for road trips, plane rides, or a quick distraction for when you're trying to get dinner on the table. You only need two items to put this game together, and odds are you already have them lying around the house!
You will need:
Empty seasoning dispenser
Plastic straws
Instructions:
Empty out the seasoning dispenser. Give it a good rinse so your kid doesn't smell like onion powder all day haha!
Get a stack of plastic straws. Cut them into thirds so that they will be short enough to fit inside the canister.
Show your child how the straws fit into the little circles, and let them thread all the straws through.
Remove the plastic cover to dump out all the straws to start over and repeat!
Activity Notes:
You can buy a package of 100 plastic straws at the dollar store!
I've found that the Great Value brand of seasonings have the perfect circle size for this game. They are just wide enough for the straws to fit through, so it's not too easy!
If you don't have straws on hand, you could roll up paper and use that!
