1. Personalized Gifts

There’s nothing quite like a personalized gift to make someone feel special. Customized tote bags, mugs, or notebooks with their name or a message from the class are both practical and personal. We especially loved this cute customizable notepad that you can find on Etsy here.

2. Gift Cards

When in doubt, a gift card is always a hit! Consider a gift card to their favorite coffee shop, bookstore, or a local restaurant. You could also opt for more general options like an Amazon or Target gift card, giving them the flexibility to treat themselves to something they truly want or need or grab supplies for the classroom. We love this “If you give a teacher a cookie” gift card book. There are many cute designs you can purchase and download on Etsy or Teachers Pay Teachers, but this one caught our eye. It comes in a 2 pack on Amazon right here.

3. Classroom Supplies

Teachers often spend their own money on classroom materials, so gifting supplies is so appreciated. Consider items like colorful markers, stickers, art supplies, or books for the classroom library. When in doubt, Sharpies and Flair Pens are always loved!

4. Spa or Relaxation Gifts

After a long day of working with energetic preschoolers, a gift that promotes relaxation can be a much-needed treat. A pretty candle warmer and a nice candle make a great gift. Alternatively, a massage or spa treatment gift card will give them something to look forward to.

5. Treats or Baked Goods

If you enjoy baking, a box of homemade cookies, brownies, or other seasonal treats can be a delicious way to show your appreciation. Pack them in a festive tin or jar with a ribbon to make it extra special. One of my very favorite Christmas gifts was the handmade chocolates a student brought me from home. You can also find companies that make charcuterie boxes or other special treats, and those make great gifts, too. This movie night popcorn gift set would be so fun!

6. Handwritten Thank You Notes

Sometimes, the most meaningful gifts aren’t expensive. A handwritten note from you or your child can be incredibly special. Expressing how much you appreciate the teacher's dedication, kindness, and hard work is a gift that any teacher will cherish. Encourage your child to draw a picture or write their own note for a truly heartwarming gift. As a teacher, I have a box full of the special notes and pictures that students have given to me over the years. I cherish them!

Wrapping It Up

When choosing a Christmas gift for a preschool teacher, the most important thing is to select something that shows appreciation and thoughtfulness. Whether it’s a personalized item, something practical for the classroom, or a heartfelt note, your gesture will surely bring a smile to their face.
