Christmas Color Sorting
Are any of you in the stage of life that I'm in? I have one kid I send to preschool, and another one who isn't quite old enough to go, but really wants to do "school things" like his brother. We have started doing "mommy school" while big brother is at preschool- just little activities that help him practice his letters, colors, or numbers. It's been so much fun and he thinks he's so big like his brother. So, this activity is for that! For all those almost-preschoolers- to practice the basics and work on those sorting skills!
You will need:
Masking Tape
Different colored pieces of construction paper
How to Play:
1: Make a grid out of tape on your table.
2: Label the sections so they know where to put the colors.
3: Help your kids sort the colors into the correct sections!
Activity Notes:
We decided to use some red, green, and yellow to make it more festive for the holidays, but you can use any colors! Try to do it based on the season or holiday you're in!
If colors are way too easy for your kids, try doing different shapes to sort instead. It could be fun to do different Christmas shapes (i.e. a stocking, Christmas tree, snowman, etc.)
This is a fun letter review game you can play anytime, but it is especially fun to play with your Halloween costumes at Halloween time!
