Dr. Seuss Memory Game (free download!)
Do you celebrate Dr. Suess’s birthday in your classroom? We like to throw in a few extra fun Dr. Seuss themed activities in the beginning of March since our students love his books and characters. We created this cute Dr. Seuss memory game and have included it as a free download for you below! Memory games are so beneficial for young children’s thinking skills, attention span, concentration, and persistence. Plus we always throw in some social skills when we play with a group and practice saying “Good job!” to the winners and “Better luck next time!” if we lose. You will need:
Dr. Seuss memory game (free download below)
Any color construction paper or printer paper
Glue stick
Scissors
Instructions:
Print out the free Dr. Seuss memory game cards.
Cut them out and glue them onto different colored paper, then cut them out again. This prevents them from being see-through (no cheating!).
Lay the cards out in a grid.
You can play this game alone or with a group! When playing with a group, each person takes turns flipping over two cards until they find a match. When we play, the person who finds a match gets to go again. The person with the most matches at the end of the game wins!
