St. Patrick’s Day Rainbow Math (free download!)
We love talking about rainbows around St. Patrick’s Day, and this is a cute and easy activity to incorporate some rainbow math into your holiday. There are two ways to play, so grab whatever rainbow colored counters you have available, snag the free download below, and let’s have some rainbow math fun!
You will need:
St. Patrick’s Day rainbow math mat (free download below!)
Rainbow counters (Skittles or Fruit Loops work great!)
Dice
Instructions:
Print out the free rainbow math mat below.
Grab some rainbow counters (you can use Skittles or Fruit Loops, or anything rainbow colored).
To practice color recognition, just mix up the counters, then have your child practice sorting the colors to the matching color on the rainbow mat.
To practice counting and correspondence, have your child roll a dice, then count out that many counters and place them on the rainbow. Keep going until the rainbow is full. You can even practice subtraction and take counters off once you’ve filled it all the way.
