Leaf Print Art
This art project is a classic, but that’s definitely for a reason! My kids could paint and stamp leaves like this for hours. It’s a great way to bring some nature into your art, and works well with any kind of leaves. Keep reading for all the details!
You will need:
Leaves (any kind, even the fake ones from the dollar store work!)
Tempera paint
Paintbrushes
Paper (any kind works fine!)
Instructions:
Have your child gather leaves from outside. It’s fun to choose a variety of different sizes and types.
Using tempera paint, paint the underneath part of the leaf (the side where the veins are more prominent).
Gently flip the leaf over onto the paper and rub to make a print.
Repeat! You can use the same leaf more than one time for several prints if you’d like.
These always turn out so pretty! And we love that they are a fun and easy process art project that kids of all ages can enjoy!
