Name Puzzle
Helping your child to learn to spell their name is one of the first exciting steps to getting them ready for kindergarten. After practicing saying the letters out loud for awhile, this exercise will have them visualize what their name looks like on paper. It's super simple and easy to put together!
You will need:
A piece of paper
Scissors
Something to write with
Instructions:
Write your child's name on a piece of paper. You'll want to do it pretty big!
Cut each letter out individually so that they are all separated from each other.
Give the scrambled letters to your child and have them put the letters in the correct order!
Activity Notes:
Try using penmanship paper for this exercise. It will help your child to recognize lowercase vs. uppercase letters.
Keep the puzzle in a ziploc bag and reuse it again another time!
This is a fun letter review game you can play anytime, but it is especially fun to play with your Halloween costumes at Halloween time!
