Polar Bear Literacy Game (free download!)
We love to do an arctic or polar unit with our preschoolers in the winter. Learning all about the different animals that live in the arctic and love the snow is so fun for our little learners. Today we have a fun polar bear literacy game you can play to work on letter names and sounds while adding a little arctic animal fun. Make sure you scroll to the bottom to grab the free download!

Instructions:
Download and print the Polar Bear Literacy Game. Cut out all of the pieces. You can laminate them for more durability if you’d like.
Place the letters in a grid on a table, on the floor, or in a pocket chart. You can use all of the letters or just a few that you’d like to focus on.
Explain to your child that you are going to hide some silly polar bears behind the letters.
Have your child close their eyes while you slip one (or more) of the polar bears behind a few letters. Make sure they line up well so they are completely hidden.
Next, have your child tell you which letter they want to look behind. This is a great way for your child to practice identifying letter names!
Remove the letter they choose and see if they found their polar bear friend! Keep playing until all of the bears are found.
You can play this game with letter sounds, too!
