Sticky Feather Turkey Math Activity
Are you looking for a fun math activity for your preschoolers this Thanksgiving? We have one that is super easy and so fun! Our students wanted to play this game over and over again!
You will need:
Sticky contact paper (like this kind)
Dice (we have some like these)
Feathers (we used these)
Painter’s tape
Turkey body - see instructions below!

Instructions:
Using painter’s tape, attach a sheet of contact paper to the wall so the sticky side is facing you, and peel off the backing.
Make a turkey body with a large piece of paper. We used some easel paper we had, and then drew a figure 8 shape and added some fun details. Do not add any feathers to your body! We laminated ours with packing tape so we can easily resuse it.
Stick the body on to the middle of the contact paper.
Then you can play the math game in a variety of different ways. You can have your child roll the dice, then add that many feathers. Once the turkey is full, roll the dice and subtract that many feathers. You can also roll two dice and have your child practice adding the numbers, then adding that many feathers. There are so many ways to play!
The great news is this game can be reused and played with over and over again and is definitely a favorite in our classroom!
