Clothespin Name Practice
This is a really fun and simple way to help your child practice how to spell their name. The best part? Only a one minute set up! It’s a really easy way to help your child practice spelling their name, work on their letter recognition and work on those fine motor skills!
You will need:
Any kind of thicker paper
Clothespins
A marker
Instructions:
Cut your paper to desired length to fit your child’s name.
Count how many letters are in their name, and then mark that many sections off on the paper and get that many clothespins.
Write one letter of their name in each section.
Write one letter of their name on each clothes pin.
Have your child match up the clothespins with the correct letters on the paper!
Activity notes:
Once your child is done, put everything in a plastic baggy and save for another time. I made this one for my son to do on the airplane and it was so easy to pull out and use again!
You could let your child color or paint the clothespins and paper to stretch the activity out a little more.
This is a fun letter review game you can play anytime, but it is especially fun to play with your Halloween costumes at Halloween time!
