Edible Finger Painting
My toddlers LOVE painting, but I find myself trying to talk them out of it because I hate dealing with the mess. This activity is a super easy way to let the kids paint without destroying your kitchen! It’s easy set up and uses materials you most likely already have in the house. It’s great for younger kiddos, too, because you totally don’t have to worry if they eat any of it. Your kids can practice colors and creativity while doing this insanely easy sensory activity!
You will need:
Food Coloring
Any white yogurt
Any white paper
Instructions:
Put globs of yogurt on a plate and mix in a different color into each glob. It looks like a little painter’s palette when you’re done!
Give your little artist a paper and yogurt colors, and let them smear and paint however they want.
Activity notes:
I found stirring the colors with a toothpick was the easiest way to do it- no dishes and no fingers dyed different colors!
The yogurt is definitely wet, and if your toddlers are like mine, they get the paper pretty saturated. Just hang it somewhere for an hour or so, and it will dry out completely!
